Welcome to Reed Personal Chef Services (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing our website, engaging our chef services, or communicating with us, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Services Provided

Reed : The Chef 4 Seniors provides personal and private chef services, including customized meal preparation, menu development, and wellness-focused dining for seniors and clients with specialized dietary needs. Service availability may vary based on location, schedule, and client requirements.

2. Deposits and Payments

  • A grocery deposit, based on the number of servings, is required for all personal chef services.

  • A 50% deposit is required to secure all private chef engagements.

  • Payments are accepted via major credit cards, electronic transfers, and personal or business checks.

  • Returned checks will incur a $25.00 return fee.

  • Final payment is due upon service completion unless otherwise agreed in writing.
    Failure to provide payment may result in cancellation of service and forfeiture of deposits.

3. Cancellations and Rescheduling

Clients may cancel or reschedule services with at least 72 hours’ notice without penalty.
Cancellations made less than 72 hours before the scheduled service may result in forfeiture of deposits or incurred grocery costs. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule services due to illness, emergency, or unforeseen circumstances, with deposits refunded or credited toward future services.

4. Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for:

  • Providing a safe and sanitary workspace for in-home meal preparation.

  • Disclosing all relevant allergies, medical conditions, or dietary restrictions prior to service.

  • Ensuring utilities and appliances are in working order during scheduled service.
    We are not liable for damages resulting from undisclosed allergies, unsafe work environments, or equipment failure.

5. Refund Policy

Deposits and grocery prepayments are nonrefundable once grocery purchases or service preparation begins. Refunds may be issued at our discretion for cancellations made in advance or for services not rendered.

6. Food Safety and Liability

All meals are prepared in compliance with state and local health regulations and ServSafe® food-handling standards. We are not responsible for food once it leaves our supervision or is stored or reheated outside recommended safety guidelines.

7. Intellectual Property

All recipes, written materials, photographs, and brand content associated with Reed : The Chef 4 Seniors are the property of Chef Reed and may not be reproduced or distributed without written consent.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Texas law, Reed – The Chef 4 Seniors shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services. Our total liability shall not exceed the total amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

9. Privacy and Data Protection

Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which complies with the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA). By using our services, you consent to our collection and use of data as outlined therein.

10. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the appropriate courts located in Harris County, Texas.

11. Updates to Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions periodically. Updates will be posted on our website with a revised effective date. Continued use of our services after updates indicates acceptance of the revised terms.
